About Spider Solitaire in Windows XP

Spider Solitaire first came with Microsoft Plus! 98, then shipped in Windows Me and Windows XP. Two decks (104 cards) are dealt into ten columns; build each suit from King down to Ace to clear it, and clear all eight to win. The score starts at 500, loses a point per move and gains 100 per completed suit.

Frequently asked questions

How do you score in Spider Solitaire?
You start with 500 points. Every move (and every Undo) costs 1 point, and each complete King-to-Ace suit you remove adds 100 points.
Why can't I deal a new row in Spider Solitaire?
Spider does not let you deal while any column is empty: put at least one card in every column first, then click the stock or Deal!.
