About FreeCell in Windows XP

FreeCell arrived in Windows 95 Plus!, and is famous because every one of the 32,000 numbered deals in the original game is winnable except #11982. That made it a puzzle of planning rather than luck. Windows XP kept the same deal numbering.

What works in this simulator

  • Game → Select Game: enter any deal number
  • Four free cells, four foundations, eight columns
  • Move multiple cards when enough cells are free
  • Statistics and Undo

Frequently asked questions

Is every FreeCell game winnable?
Of the 32,000 deals in the original Microsoft FreeCell, all are solvable except game #11982.
How do I play a specific FreeCell game number?
Choose Game > Select Game (F3) and type the deal number. The same number always deals the same cards.
